Frequently asked questions
Booking & visiting
How do I book an appointment?
Every service on this site links through to our Square booking page, where you can see live availability, choose your time and confirm instantly. Bookings need at least 24 hours' notice, so same-day appointments are not available online — call or message if you are hoping for something sooner.
Can I book more than one service in a visit?
Yes. Square lets you add several services to one booking, and it will work out the total time needed. A lash refill with a brow tidy, or nails with a lip wax, are common pairings.
Where exactly is the studio?
The studio is a private, appointment-only space in Maidstone, in Melbourne's inner west. The exact address and parking notes are sent with your Square booking confirmation rather than published, so the space stays private for clients who are mid-treatment.
What if I need to change or cancel?
You can reschedule or cancel your own appointment from the link in your Square confirmation email. Please give as much notice as you can — appointments are one-to-one, so a late cancellation is a slot nobody else can take.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. Everything is by appointment so that each client has the room and the full time slot to themselves.
How do I pay?
Payment is handled by Square, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Square Pay. Prices on this site are in Australian dollars.
Treatments
How long do lash extensions last?
The adhesive is designed to hold for up to six weeks on the hair, but your natural lashes shed on their own cycle, so a set thins out gradually. Most people rebook a refill at two to three weeks to keep it looking full.
Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?
Not when they are applied correctly. Every extension is isolated onto a single natural lash and weight-to-length ratios are chosen for what your own lash can carry. Damage comes from extensions that are too heavy, lashes stuck together, or sets picked off at home — which is why removals are a service rather than something to do yourself.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid and volume lashes?
Classic places one extension per natural lash for length without weight. Volume uses handmade fans of five to ten very fine lashes on each natural lash for a dark, dense finish. Hybrid mixes the two, giving texture and fullness that still reads as natural — it is the usual middle ground.
How long does brow lamination last?
Six to eight weeks. The brow hair is redirected and set, then grows out gradually. Rebooking sooner than six weeks is not recommended — over-laminating dries the hair out.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes, for tinting. A patch test is required at least 24 hours before your first brow or lash tint so any sensitivity shows up before the appointment rather than during it.
Why is a dry Russian manicure better for gel?
Soaking makes the nail plate swell and hold water, so colour applied over it lifts at the base once the nail dries out. Dry cuticle work with an e-file leaves a clean, dry surface for the gel to bond to, which is why the line stays neat for closer to three weeks.
How long should hair be before waxing?
A few millimetres is plenty — roughly the length of a grain of rice. You do not need to grow it out for weeks. Book every four to six weeks and growth eventually falls into one cycle, which makes each appointment quicker.
Can I have a facial or peel before an event?
Yes, with timing. A hydrating dermaplane is ideal seven to ten days before, so skin has settled and makeup sits flat. A peel needs longer, as light flaking usually appears around day three.
NEXUS training
Do I need experience to train with you?
It depends on the course. The Lash Mastery Atelier foundation course is built for the absolute beginner with no prior experience. The Nexus Method and Master Mentorship are for people already working — from newly certified to studio owners — and are tailored to the level you are at.
Are the courses one-on-one?
Yes. Training is private and personalised, with small class sizes at the atelier. Master Mentorship is limited to one student per month, and the Nexus Method is built around your specific service menu after a discovery call.
Do I get a certificate?
Both the Lash Mastery Atelier foundation course and Master Mentorship include a certificate of completion.
What does the discovery call commit me to?
Nothing. It is a complimentary 20-minute conversation to work out what you actually need. Even if you never book the intensive, you leave with two or three things you can implement straight away.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes — the Nexus Method and the foundation course both have an additional-attendee rate, so two people can train together for less than two separate bookings.
Will there be more courses?
Yes. Further certifications in brow lamination, Russian manicure and BIAB, volume lashes, waxing, and a self-paced business course are in development. Join the waitlist and you will hear when dates open.
